Experience Timeline

  1. Fundación Amigos del Prado Seminar and Research Conference

    -       Coursework that allowed students to analyze the work of Picasso in relation to childhood histories, formalist techniques, and references to Málaga.

    -       Presentations led by key Spanish Art Historians and Curators such as Eduard Vallés, Julián Casanova, and Eugenio Carmona.

  2. Symposium Speaker for the SUNY New Paltz Undergraduate Art History Symposium

    -       Presented original research and examinations of nostalgia in photography, visual connections to 20th-century lesbian iconographies and theory, and histories of textile politics to show a gap in scholarship regarding queer female art.

    -       Prestigious writing opportunity for aspiring undergraduate researchers from around the world.

  3. Curatorial and Project Management Intern for Women Photographers' International Archive

    -       Maintained contact with travelling international artists for conferences and drafting contracts and planning travel.

    - I assisted our team with the weeklong 2024 WOPHA Congress in October at the Perez Art Museum in Miami, creating symposia schedules, planning day-to-day projects and activities, and overseeing inventory.

    -       In charge of public relations across our congress participants and serving as a point of contact throughout our weeklong congress dedicated to the proliferation of contemporary female photography and its educative processes.

  4. Representative of the Art History major in the 2024 FSU Co-Lab

    -       Representative for the entire art history bachelor’s program alongside the director of undergraduate studies. We focused on curating and creating different forms of engagement for the arts program through the idea of illumination.

    -       Conducted thoughtful project planning alongside other representatives of the College of Fine Arts and built upon previous project management ideas to create new ideas in terms of growing artistic interest across the university and city.

  5. Collective Performance Participant in Tirzo Martha's 'Act of Valor' at the Perez Museum of Art Miami

    -       Participated in a collaborative performance at a nationally recognized institution dedicated to what we deem special to ourselves. The exhibited performance revolves around the idea of a ‘superhero’ through the lens of our participants.

    -       Engaged with my history and experience as a diasporic Venezuelan art scholar to reflect on what I might deem as superhero traits within my community, traditions, and culture.

    -       Participated in multiple workshops before the day of performance and held a day of interaction within the museum space at the PAMM.

  6. "Queerness through Medium" Published in Florida State SIX Magazine

    -Original research previously presented at the SUNY New Paltz Undergraduate Art History Symposium.

    -Personal research that encapsulates my focus on cultural significance in queer feminist art has been well received by its peers and the drafting committee, leading to its current publishing state.

    -Florida State SIX Magazine is a prestigious art magazine that allows its scholars to present work revolving around all mediums, from written prospectus to visual art installations and photography.
